The oldest of the Highlands-area country clubs, Highlands Country Club is a premier golfing community. Highlands Country Club takes pride in claiming legendary golfer Bobby Jones came to here to sharpen his game on this Donald Ross-designed 18-hole championship course.

Highlands Country Club, located in the beautiful North Carolina mountains, boasts an elegant main clubhouse with its well-stocked pro shop and locker rooms, plus a casual 19th Hole grill with veranda-type seating. There is a heated pool, two Har-Tru tennis courts, a driving range, along with with roving security. A new fitness center expansion is in the works and expected to be ready for the 2005 season.

Located within the Highlands city limits and less than one mile from Main Street with its renowned shopping and excellent restaurants, Highlands Country Club is the most expensive of the country clubs in Highlands.
